I have been losing all of my faith that this country will ever be as great as it was in the 1800's,oh and I'm new.

yea, it seems like it was a lot better overall back when we didn't have things like the internet and filesharing...this wasn't a sarcastic post by the way, I agree that things were better before filesharing, but i do also agree that we shouldn't have to pay for as much as we already do.

I don't like america because of their politics, their way of behaviour and their way of thinking, their place in the world, their sly/evil way of controlling the rest of the world, they are a super-power, their "I think I'm smart and best". They act and do not think. Sorry if I'm insulting anyone, that's how it is. How I feel it. They'll have to do something very special to reformat my brain cells back to America is OK.

^ I deny it, to an extent. The United States of America is, without a doubt, the greatest nation in the entire world, but I'm not a patriot or a nationalist. I say it because it is true, but say it only because every other nation sucks so much that even the U.S.A., hotbed of political corruption and moral degeneracy, can clinch the top spot.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Every nation has power. America probably has the most. That's bad.

it was shit in the 1800's, with slavery through most of it. During the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, living conditions were really poor for many (pretty much like sweatshop workers now in China, or even worse)
The government here was always shitty, just often less so than elsewhere.
