Having some problem with my headset - Luizao876 - 04-19-2012 07:13 AM

Hey people, I was trying to record my voice with my headset with the Windows Sound Recorder, but for some reason, no sound comes out of it. Any advice?

This is my headset:

No, they are in the correct places, If you're talking about the wires being in the incorrect place.

Send a pic of your actual headset so SS might be able to see the problem

if its a usb headset then you need to fiddle around and make it the default device

He said they're in the right plugs. So I'm assuming it's NOT a usb one. Check your computers sound devices in the Control Panel.
Make sure the system is directing the sound through the headset instead of speakers. That's if your sound doesn't work either.
So does sound come through the headphones at all? Or just the mic doesn't record?

Yeah, when I connect my headset, it works fine. Just the mic that doesn't work.

Does the mic come on and off?
Maybe you haven't connected it properly..
I use to have a similar problem with my headset, I'll post how I fixed it when I remember.
